Fabian earned his diploma degree in Physics (focus: astroparticle & solid-state physics) from Humboldt University Berlin in collaboration with DESY Zeuthen, Germany. He then moved to Australia, where he obtained his PhD from Swinburne University of Technology in Matthew Bailes’ group (thesis: “Spectral and rotational properties of radio pulsars”). After that, he worked as a Research Associate in Ben Stappers’ group at the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics at the University of Manchester, UK. Since 2023, he has been a researcher at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the University of Orléans, France. His main research interests are neutron stars and fast radio bursts (FRBs).
